The Fielder Dress – Merchant and Mills
I bought this pattern a while ago and have never got round to making anything, Spring is in the air and I have made a dress and a top in a week. I love them both and plan on doing a couple more garments now I have sourced some fabulous ribbing. The dress and top fit really well, my only comment would be that the fit under the arm is a little too tight so I’ll adapt this area when I make another, otherwise its perfect.
I made the dress in a liberty print, medium weight denim and the top is made in seersucker cotton.
Finding ribbing to make this pattern was initially difficult – I found four basic plains at Merchant and Mils that matched their European Laundered Linen Collection which are great, but then I found some wonderful ones at Raysitch and Stone Fabrics! The ones pictured here are some samples from Raystitch. I plan on using them soon for more Fielders and a couple of M&M tee shirts for my husband,
