This is the first garment I have made from the Japanese company Linnet. They offer English translations and are a lovely company to order from, the postage is reasonable and they deliver very promptly!
This pattern does not include seam allowance – I took my french curve and drew around my size adding 1cm all round. This tool was perfect to the task. I put dots around the curves, 1cm out, and then joined them up. Where the edges were straight, I didn’t make dots at intervals, I just aligned the straight edge using the guides on the side.
The pattern was easy to follow and I love some of the details such as the tiny pocket (which is totally impractical but cute) and the band at the bottom of the body and sleeves with small gathers. I made the large size which I found to be a little small across the shoulders, fortunately this top looks great worn as a little summer jacket. I will be adapting the pattern (using my french curve) and making another, I love it. The website for this company can be found on the ‘Pattern Makers’ page.
