The Tote 93 from Linnet is my latest find. It has to be the cutest thing I’ve made to date!
I found the company through looking on line searches and following Pinterest links. They are based in Kyoto, Japan and they do various gorgeous patterns both written in Japanese and English.
This bag has been a joy to make and I can’t wait to make my other patters from this gorgeous company!
The instructions to make the bag were a bit thin at times and I have documented a couple of points during the process of making, to share on the blog. The pocket top seam allowance is initially sewn on the wrong side and then folded inside out before pressing the 1 cm seam allowance and then sewing onto the lining. The pocket is tiny, but just big enough for a mobile phone!
The other aid in making the gather was to measure the distance of the gap, roughly gather the fabric, tie knots in tboth ends of the thread to secure and then distribute the gather evenly.
This has been a really enjoyable small project, I recommend it to anyone who wants to start sewing or just to help build confidence.
